My company gave us $12 preloaded on our tickets for food and/or souvenirs. $12 at AT&T Park gets you a piece of gum and that’s about it. A bottle of water is $5. Ice cream (2 scoops of vanilla with chocolate syrup) $10. Large soda $7.50. Sandwich $9.75. Baseball caps $20-$60 (which we expected). Giants sweatshirt (women’s style and VERY lightweight) $90!!!!! Or the cheaper sweatshirt for ONLY $85!! Ridiculous. We had seats that were in full sun all day and I ended up with a really bad sunburn. Check out this sexy picture:
Sunscreen usually gives me a rash and the stuff that doesn’t bother my skin was at home in the medicine cabinet. Helpful huh?!
Our seats were pretty far away, so it was hard to get into the feel of the game.
We ended up leaving in the 8th inning so we could catch the ferry. The game lasted into the 11th inning. The Giants won 2 – 1.
Naughty, naughty chalk outline around home plate:
The only other MLB game I’ve been to was a Twins game in Minnesota – they won the World Series that year. Maybe the Giants will win again this year!
The company outing cost us $48 for the ferry, $55 for baseball hats, $10 ice cream, and $23 for farmer’s market goodies. We had a really nice day together. I’m glad we took the ferry and didn’t have to fight traffic in and out of the city.
Walking back to the ferry:
Does this bring any movie quotes into your mind?? We thought, "Save the clock tower!! Save the clock tower!!" from Back to the Future:
Dan and Lisa said Ruger was well behaved for them…whew!! I was nervous he was going to drive them crazy since he was in a new place. He had the runs all over their concrete; we think he was stressed out that we left him. It took Doug and Dan a while to clean it up. Sorry guys!! I’m glad he did it outside and not inside like at my parent’s house!
