Double Double Date

I generally don't go to church functions because the dogs are left alone so much.  I feel bad leaving them after such a short time with them.  We can't let them sleep too much in the evening or Ruger gets up even earlier.  Our ward had a BBQ at a local park, so I was able to take the dogs with me.  It was nice to visit with people and burn some of the dog's energy.  The kids loved Ruger and Winnie.  I'm glad the pups are gentle and more careful with kids.  They started a balloon toss, that turned into a water balloon fight:

Doug and I drove down to spend time with Becky and Craig.  They were having a housewarming/wedding reception.  We brought ice and a large tub to put sodas in.  We transferred sodas from the fridge and somehow Becky dropped on somewhat on my head which caused me to drop one.  The soda hit the cement, broke open and sprayed everywhere!  It was pretty funny!:

I noticed a ring around the sun while we were there.  Pretty cool!:

Doug and I headed home to run some errands.  We met up with Dan and Lisa, had some chicken tacos and then played Mario Brothers until almost morning.  It was fun to see both Becky and Lisa on the same day!  The girls almost 8 years ago:

There was a bit of extra traffic on my way home a couple weeks ago.  A van went up and over the k-rail.  Whoops!  Sadly, my first assumption is texting and driving:

Sneaky Snake

Doug was mowing the lawn and a fairly long snake slithered away.  He found it hiding halfway in our neighbor's yard.  I texted our neighbor to let them know since they have a little girl.

Ruger drives us crazy when we try to rest, so sometimes Doug will bother Ruger while he tries to nap.  Doug will shake and poke at Ruger as he falls asleep.  It's pretty funny to us:

Ben, Breanna and Cole were coming over for dinner and Breanna texted me to let me know they were running late.  I told her it was fine because I just got out of the shower.  I got a text back that said, "Prove it!"  I googled "ugly woman in the shower".  I don't think this lady is ugly, but it was funny enough to text back to Breanna:

I've been picking up monthly desserts for work.  There were a million samples about to be thrown away because they were closing soon.  I wanted to be greedy and ask them to box them up!  I should have asked!:

I've seen these in a few commercials on TV.  I haven't seen them in stores; either they're being purchased quickly or I'm not paying attention.  They're very expensive on Amazon; I think about $30 for 3 of them.  They're cute and all, but they're just tic tacs!!

Double Date & Fun

Doug and I try to take turns getting up early with the dogs.  I usually try to get some work done when I get up early.  One morning I decided to clean out and rearrange the closet under the stairs.  I didn't get a before pictures, but this is when I started putting the closet back together:

Believe it or not, this is neat and tidy.  It's much easier to access everything and all the jackets that were hanging in front of all this are now in the bedroom closet:

We went on a double date with Les & Noush to the Cheesecake Factory.  Doug and I saw the new Avengers movie before lunch and they went to see the movie after lunch.  Our schedules didn't match up for lunch and a movie together, but lunch with them was really fun.  These are the yummy meals Doug and I ate:

Doug and I went to a fabric/crafting store and Doug pointed out these Nutty Lips.  Really?? Who thinks of this stuff???!!!!:

While at the craft store we bought a map and some stickers to label where we've been in the world.  I started this map with just places we've been together, but we recently bought different stickers so we can label places we've been individually.  The map will be more entertaining with more stickers!:
