Shopping Date & Crafts

Luckily the time changed, so I don't take so many sunset and sunrise pictures, but this one is from last month.  The moon and colors of the sky were amazing:
As it got darker that evening:
Shoes to go with my dress!! pretty!!!
I sent this to my mom.  She can get a Vikings pillow pet. HAHA:
While Doug and I spend the day on an errands type date we stopped at Johnny Rockets for burgers and shakes.  Our server was fancy with his ketchup faces!!:
We took the dogs to the park again.  This time we played hide and seek.  The dogs would sprint to one end of the park to find Doug then I would hide, so they would sprint back to the other side of the park to find me:

Showing off their sit/stay skills.  It's fun to watch people watch us while we're at the park.  Some make comments about how well behaved our dogs are:
Tired, but wanting attention ... Ruger is never happy HAHA:
Love meeeeee:
I was ignoring Ruger, so I could make this paper chain for Becky's countdown to wedding day. Each day came with a prize and a quote or random thought.  It was fun to watch her open one each day!:

Yep, I think we were due for a vacuuming.  GROSS DOG HAIR:
Angie got this as a birthday gift at work and it was dying, so I took it home to care for it and replant it.  We called it our "love fern".   Hopefully it will grow big and strong!

Play & Organize

I had a day off without Doug a while back.  My days without Doug are usually spent cleaning, organizing or some random to-do that needs to be done.  I replanted a mini rose plant that Noush gave me.  I cannot keep these alive!  I've tried for years, but this one type of plant is my nemesis!!:
I put our kitchen conversion chart inside a cupboard door.  I put it in a sign holder because if I ever want to move it the stickers won't be ruined:
The dogs were far from entertained by my cleaning and to-do list, so we went to the dog park for a while.  Of course Ruger is a water hog.  If he can fit in the bucket, he will!!:

Politely waiting for me to throw the ball:
After burning their energy I went home to finish the rest of the kitchen to-do.  I measured how the spoons would hang on the door:
TA DAAAA!!!
So fancy!  BUT this scares the crap out of us when we open the cupboard.  I need to put some felt on the door, so they don't bang so loudly:
YAY for tired dogs!!  Ruger was in a mood again and wanted the bed Winnie was in, so he shoved his way into the small space next to her:
I brought a couple Valentine's day roses to work.  They're no fun if they're all at home and I'm not:
This was SO funny to see on my way home from work:
Close up - it's a stuffed bear.  People are crazy:

Another Project Done

We took a trip up to my parent's house - I can't remember if there was a main reason for going, but I was able to finally give them the anniversary gift I made, broke and remade.

For some reason Winnie decided she was a lap dog on the way; she kept wanting to sit on the floor at Doug's feet:
Happy little weirdo:
The anniversary gift was ruined yet AGAIN!!!!  STUPID GIFT!!!:
I brought my sewing machine and a few tools so I could use up some of the Wizard of Oz fabrics and make dresser covers for my mom:

This one turned out crooked, so I had to rip the seam out a couple times and redo it.  It was still crooked, but it's hard to tell:
Glenn gave me some super duper crazy glue to hold this freaking gift together.  There are all the years they've been married in the "25" and the line of pennies under the "25" are the years before they were married:
Doug requested cheese cake, so that's what my mom made for dessert.  It was delicious!:
Jazmin was up on the chair trying not to get stepped on by Ruger; he wants play with her so bad!:
While sewing my mom's dresser covers my machine was making a weird noise.  I lifted the fabric to look at the bobbin under the needle and at that exact moment the fabric advanced just enough to pull my finger under the needle.  My immediate reaction was to pull my finger, which bent and broke the needle as it was ripping out of my finger.  WHOOPS!!!:
My mom bought this Franklin Mint Cinderella Coach from a woman who lives near her.  It looks great next to my Beauty & the Beast rose:
Exhausted pups after a day of play and excitement:
I have a tiny metal dinosaur in my miniature collection now.  My mom found this little guy at an antique shop while they were out shopping one day:

Valentine's Day

Can't go wrong with a beautiful sunrise on a Friday!:
Cute little valentine I got from a coworker's wife:
And a beautiful sunset on the way home!
I was sent an invoice after going to Sophia's 3rd birthday party.  It was a hilarious way to send a thank you card since a story went viral after a family was "billed" when her son couldn't make it to a friend's birthday party.  I should have been charged since Doug couldn't make it! LOL:
What I woke up to on Valentine's day.  Doug proposed to me on Valentine's Day 8 years ago.  He woke me up with a rose ... of course Ruger stopped to smell the roses ...actually he tried to eat it.  He ate a small piece of a petal, so I ended up having to do an online search about dogs and roses.  He ate Azalea once and got REALLY sick; I didn't want to go through that again!  Way to spoil the moment Ruger!!:
Amazing sunrise on a lovely Valentine's Day:

All dressed up for Valentine's Day:

Ruger 2 years ago and now in his cute bowtie:
For all the anti-Valentine folks:
Doug also had these yummy treats for us - I don't think I took a picture of them, but they are giant caramel apples:
Doug had to work in the morning and then had the joy of picking up dog poo and mowing the grass.  Winnie won't go if there is "too much" poo (according to her standards).
Doug had this beautiful bouquet hiding in his truck all night:

More yummy sweet treats!  I'm not a big fan of Peeps, but there is a Peep for every holiday now!
We didn't want to deal with the crowds and craziness of eating out, so we ordered Tai food to-go.  We had a ton of food and it was delicious:
I guess Winnie wasn't feeling the love.  She looks like she pouts when she does this, but she likes to rest her head on things if she's sitting still:
