12/23-12/27

Time to harvest the trees!! I love seeing all the time put into these trees pay off:

18 gallon bucket of lemons!!
Pile-o-oranges!  This doesn't look like very many oranges, but we were eating and juicing them for over a month:
This is what happens when I don't watch Ruger closely enough when he is obsessed over trying to bend his stupid frisbee.  He shredded our chair cover:
Freshly picked fruit!! It's nice and cold at night, so we left the fruit outside for about a week and only brought in what we wanted to eat little by little:
I Love Lucy Christmas Special!  Doug and I went out to dinner and ate our dinner super fast so I could catch the special.  We got home at 8pm, but it actually started at 8pm in a different time zone.  I was bummed I missed it, but then I was channel surfing another night and it was on again!:

Another Christmas light drive:

A lumberjack bowling for penguins:
Another evening of Christmas movies!  This is one of my favorites, "That there's an RV, Clark!":
The Christmas cactus bloomed just in time for Christmas:

While I was retired for a little while (time off between jobs) I went up the hill to go bowling with my parents again.  My scores don't look to awful because everyone else's scores sucked! LOL  Apparently the guy that oils the lanes was in the hospital, so they hadn't done it in almost a week.

I used the kid's ball again and they teased me that they've never heard silent bowling before.  The ball is so light that you can barely hear it skating down the lane. HAHA!

I was sitting behind a truck with a goat and even though I was by myself on the way home from bowling I was making goat noises.  Clearly the goat didn't care:
Cocktamous Prime:
This card was at the car wash place; they always have such crazy cards:
I can check another to-do off my retired list of things to get done before I go back to work:
Fire sky.  Good night world!:

This time I caught a canine tooth on my wrist.  Another ouchie!!  I need to be faster when I get them riled up!:

12/14-12/22

Becky and I were taking a walk and wanted to steal the protesters Grim Reaper for her Halloween decorations:
Nighttime bubbles to burn their energy:

Doug's birthday presents from the Baker family.  They got him a BBQ set and a Carolina hat.  The BBQ set is a fun idea for a gift since we almost always barbecue when they come over:
My parents got Doug a restaurant gift card, so I packed it in a large box that had a heavy sticker on it:
Time to torment the dogs with the wrapping paper roll!:
They won! HA!:
Doug opening the gift card when he got home from work:
Doesn't everyone want to see the styes on my eyelids??:
One of the few commuting sunrises I had left to enjoy on my way to work:
So much for staying on the trail - whatever they smelled must have been amazing:
Doug came home sick like I mentioned earlier and an amazing friend and neighbor brought some chicken soup to help him feel better:
The never-ending pit, Ruger, munching from the food bin.  I let him take a few bites before I stopped him.  I bet he would eat all 30 pounds if I let him:
This is proof that it gets really windy here.  I tell people that it's like a wind tunnel and I'm sure people thing "Yeah, sure...", but it really is!  It tore up our umbrella cover and ripped a wood plank from the dog house:
They sure can be cute:
I had this gift for a hot minute before I broke it!  Kevin & Debbie gave this turtle ornament to us and I dropped it.  The sound of glass shattering in movies is exactly what it sounded like when it hit our tile floors.  Then the hunt was on a for a new one!:
After 11 years and 17 days it was my last day working for this company.  I'll always have fond memories of the friends and people I worked with over so many years.  Time to head on to my new adventure!:
New turtle!  It took a little bit of effort to find it, but I'm glad I did!  Debbie told me she got it at Kohls, but their online store didn't have one and the stores I tried didn't have one.  I finally found one on my way home from visiting my grandma and aunt.  I took a longer route home to check the store near them:
Costco 2 days before Christmas - holy cow!!!:
Not one of my best ideas, but apparently I did the same thing last year and didn't learn my lesson:

A sea of cars!!  This parking lot is overflowing!:
Packaging the meat and getting it ready for the freezer:
Winter sunset:
For hire!  He's a professional present unwrapper!:
