Boy's Weekend

Doug never gets out with just the boys, so it was a nice weekend away from him and his friends:

Doug didn't set up his tent, so he slept in the bed of his truck with a tarp over him ... until it rained at about 2am.  He moved to the inside of his truck until it stopped raining.  Needless to say, he didn't get much sleep.

Little Apron

I still had the legs from Glenn's pants after I made his Harley Christmas stocking.  I saw this craft online and decided to give it a try.  I had no pattern and I still don't know how it will fit on a little girl, but here it is!:

Ribbon wasn't the best idea to use as a border.  It wasn't very wide and did NOT want to stay folded in half.  It turned out okay though:

Added a pocket:

Ribbon ties and an appliqued fabric flower for decoration.  I just need to get some Velcro for the neck strap:

The brush on the left is the brush I've been using for years.  The right is the same brush except its new.  My brush is pretty sad!:

Blue Moon

Here is our not-so-blue moon.  A "blue moon" isn't really blue, but I'm not sure why they call it that when we have a second full moon during the month.  I should look it up:

I wanted to share this silly story.  First, a reminder... Your car is huge. Haha. Second, there were black widows around it and in our garage after parking it and your grandparent's when it was being fixed last year.
Now the story. We had two friends staying over during the end of last week. They each had their vehicle with them. Doug drove your car to work one day and I don't remember the logistics, but one friend car ended up in "your" spot in the garage. Doug came in the house jokingly mentioning how much more room the garage has with the 4 door coupe in there. Of course I had to go look :)
Fast forward to the next morning. Your car was parked behind me and I was home alone since Doug and the two friend went camping for the night. Doug's truck was gone, so I thought maybe I could pull up and back and get my SUV out without having to deal with my fear of spiders (I forgot to mention that just a couple weeks ago there was a black widow above your spot in the corner of the garage; I'm sure it had nothing to do with your car, but it brought my insane fear to the surface...not hard to do). I was determined not to get in Spidey - that's the best name I can think of for your car right now because Widow doesn't work. I must have driven my Rav back and forth a good dozen times. I realized I was stuck; your car is behind me and there is a pole to my left. PS back up cameras are quite accurate!! I didn't hurt either one of our cars during my frustrating 3 feet back and forth, back and forth. Haha

I decided the only way would be to roll your car back a bit. BUT that would mean I have to get IN the car. I clearly survived the ordeal since I'm sharing my silliness. I got in your car, put the key in so I could get the car out of park, popped the E brake and rolled Spidey back a couple feet.
Now to try the back and forth again!!  After a couple rounds, I had just enough room to squeeze by your car. The first picture is how far I was able to move my car after a dozen tries. The second picture is to show you my super skills and only inches between our cars.
Pulling my Rav back into the garage after my errand was pretty easy; I just had tons of practice!!

Doug and the guys were out camping, so it was just me and the pups.  Winnie has been sneaking onto the couch lately.  She's so cute and quiet about it that we have a hard time just shoving her off.  I took this picture for Doug because she quietly got onto the couch and then hid behind me:

Overworked

Another typical weekend in our house - overworked during the week, so naps are a must:

My life every morning with Winnie.  She is a stubborn, smart turd.  Lately, I've been putting a splash of milk in her food to make a doggie cereal.  She likes milk:

We packed up my sewing stuff and the dogs and headed to my parents house for the day.  Here are a couple good shots of the bridge on the way there:

My mom helped me figure out how she wanted to hang the wall hanging I made for her.  I added the loops across the top and FINALLY finished this project.  My plan was to finish it before the left for their trip, then mail it to them while they were on the trip, but I would be so sad if it got lost in the mail.  They'll have it for their next trip:

This little girl is pouting because she's not allowed in the front of the SUV.  They have the entire back of the vehicle, so she can get over it!  She can hang out with my sewing machine back there.  LOL:
