Lightning & Rain

Rain is stil filtering through the area!  YAY!!  Thank you mother nature for helping these firefighters!!:
Glenn said there were 300 law enforcement up the hill to make sure no one was looting the homes.  Fire fighters were going house by house and preparing the area for the impending fight.  They were even cutting down pot plants and took out 4 truckloads of marijuana.  Sucks for the illegal growers that are up there! HAHA  There were a dozen fire trucks on the line, another 2 dozen throughout the neighborhood and a dozen dozers on the line as well.  They were ready!!!
Raining on the fire and raining and the house!  YESSSSS!:
We even got some rain, so we went outside to play in it:
I like the shadow of Winnie's ears:

Lightning storm:

The heat from the fire caused a hole in the clouds.  Insane:

Firefighters feeding the deer:
Sad face.  She got in trouble for chewing on a baseboard:
Ruger still smokes no matter how much we try to make him stop:

Smokey Sunset

I stalked this sunset for much longer than I should have, but it was so pretty.  Again, the smoke made for a lovely view:

Painting Day

We helped Ben and Breanna paint their baby room.  Ben was pointing out the high spots for Doug to paint. HAHA:
One wall was a deep grey color and the other three walls were a minty blue color.  It made my hand lovely colors:
It's still getting closer and now there's a little fire outside the main fire:
This is what Doug looks like when he's focused on a video game. haha  He sticks his tongue out when he draws or builds things too.:
Breanna's peep hole in her front door cracks me up:

RAIN, SWEET GLORIOUS RAIN!!!
These are the pictures from the procedure I had done.  My textbook normal guts.  Everything was normal, so we have no answers.  It's good and bad.  Good because I'm fine, but bad because there's nothing wrong to fix.  Sounds weird, but it would have been nice to have a reason for my menstrual pains and fertility issues:

King Fire Part 5

Glenn had a hard time trying to figure out what was going on with the fire via phone calls and crappy news coverage that varied by station, so we took him our old laptop.  I took pictures of my mom's little, baby girl while we were there:
She looks sad, but she was trying to nap and kept getting woken up:

This is the airport up in my parent's neighborhood.  CRAZY!  They are ready to go!!

Exhausted, lazy dogs:

When Doug is home alone with the dogs, he complains about them bothering him and they never leave him alone.  I took these pictures to show Doug what the dogs do when I'm home with them.  It's a game for them.  They know the can harass Doug and it's fun for Ruger.
Ruger had the crazies and was slamming into the front of the couch to make it around the corner faster.  He shoved the couch back quite a bit with each slam:
When Ruger shoved the couch back, I saw how nasty the carpet was under the very front of the couch.  Gross!!:
Another pretty, smoke sky picture:
The 4 lane highway they carved into the forest behind where my parents live.  This is the insane fire break they "built" to hopefully stop the fire from reaching all the homes:
Weirdos:

Smoke filled area miles and miles from the fire.  I was told our family in Idaho was dealing with the smoke too!
